Nile are a death metal band from South Carolina that formed in the early 90’s. They mix brutality, technicality and Egyptian mythology to create a mystical, violent and sinister atmosphere. They’ve released several excellent albums like “Amongst The Catacombs Of Nephren-Ka” “Those Whom The Gods Detest” “Black Seeds Of Vengeance” and a couple of good ep’s “Festival Of Atonement” and “Ramses Bringer Of War.”

Also playing: Skeletonwitch – blackened thrash metal from Ohio, Hour Of Penance – brutal death metal from Italy and The Black Dahlia Murder – melodic death metal from Wisconsin.

The Summer Slaughter tour will be in The Mile Hi City with it’s annual caravan of extreme metal bands, some of them really good and some that are not, here is the lineup:

Six Feet Under – death metal from Tampa led by the deep growl of Chris Barnes. “Haunted” and “Warpath” two of their best albums, extreme, sick and malevolent.

Dying Fetus – brutal and morose death metal from Maryland, “Purification Through Violence” is their first album, an extreme, ferocious assault of gutteral vocals, blasting drums and relentless riffs.

The Black Dahlia Murder – death metal from Michigan.

Darkest Hour – melodic death metal from Washington.

Fleshgod Apocalypse – Italian technical death metal.

The rest of the bands are “Deathcore” hope they have their name on the background so you can tell the difference, Whitechapel, Oceano, As Blood Runs Black and a joke of a band Powerglove which ain’t deathcore, but pure garbage.
