Nile are a death metal band from South Carolina that formed in the early 90’s. They mix brutality, technicality and Egyptian mythology to create a mystical, violent and sinister atmosphere. They’ve released several excellent albums like “Amongst The Catacombs Of Nephren-Ka” “Those Whom The Gods Detest” “Black Seeds Of Vengeance” and a couple of good ep’s “Festival Of Atonement” and “Ramses Bringer Of War.”

If you don’t have anything better to do on Saturday night there is an ok metal show down at the Gothic, black metal, melodic death metal, thrash, creepy atmospheres, black thrashing demonic blastbeats and rapid fire riffage is what to expect, very aggressive. Here are the bands playing:

CANNIBAL CORPSE @ THE GOTHIC THEATRE 5/03/10 ENGLEWOOD-CO

Controversial death metal band, Cannibal Corpse, will be at the Gothic to film their show for a live DVD. They are the creators of such horror based masterpieces, “Butchered at Birth,” Tomb of the Mutilated” and “Kill.”
