For a night of Southern hard rock riffs, soaring vigorous vocals, psychedelia, doom, loud distorted guitars, punk, blues and good ol’ rock & roll come out to the sweat box known as the Marquis. The line-up includes newer bands with different styles but the same drive an attitude and pure loudness, here are the bands playing:
Royal Thunder – doom blues metal from Atlanta, Valient Thorr – stoner rock punk metal from North Carolina and Holy Grail – heavy metal from L.A.
Holy Grail are a NWOBHM band from California, they are extremely aggressive with auditorially pleasing melodies. Pure Heavy Fucking Metal!
Exodus are a trash metal band from the Bay Area. They been around since the early 80’s and where founded by Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Gary Holt and Tom Hunting. They have released 9 albums, their current one “Exhibit B: The Human Condition,” was released this year and it’s one of their best. Through the years they’ve gone trough many line-up changes and the death of their vocalist Paul Baloff, but they continue bringing the thrash to the fans.
Also playing: Malevolent Creation – One of the original death metal bands from the Florida scene. Bonded By Blood – Thrash metal from Pomona, CA and Holy Grail – NWOBHM influenced band from Pasadena, CA.
