DEATH ANGEL @ THE GOTHIC THEATER 4/15/12 ENGLEWOOD-CO

Death Angel are a thrash metal band from the Bay Area that formed in the early 80’s. Led by Mark Osegueda and Rob Cavestany they play harsh and threatening speed metal full of fast lethal riffs, high pitched screams and shrieks, vicious double bass and driving crisp guitar tones. They’ve released a couple of excellent albums “The Ultra-Violence” a classic of the 80’s thrash scene and “Frolic Through The Park.

English Dogs are a British hardcore punk/thrash metal band that formed in the early 80’s. They started as a punk outfit then they got into the thrash movement of the 80’s and their albums became more metallic like “Where Legend Began” “Forward Into Battle” and Invasion Of The Porky Men” pure sonic chaos!

Also playing: The Casualties – crusty New York street punk band that formed in the early 90’s, raw, fast and loud an unrelenting assault of adrenalized buzzsaw guitars, choked vocals and group choruses. Toxic Holocaust – thrash metal with some punk mix into it from Portland led by Joel Grind, Havok – the best thrash metal band from the Rockies.

FORBIDDEN @ THE MARQUIS THEATER 6/29/11 DENVER-CO

 

Forbidden are a legendary 1980’s Bay Area thrash metal band. In 1988 they released “Forbidden Evil” an excellent album full of thrashing riffs, melodic vocals, insane drumming, raw, aggressive and violent.

Also playing: Revocation – technical death/thrash metal from Boston, White Wizzard – traditional heavy metal from L.A. and Havok – Mile Hi thrash kings.

MALEVOLENT CREATION @ THE MARQUIS THEATER 2/27/11 DENVER-CO

Malevolent Creation is a death metal band that came out from the late 80’s Florida scene. They released two death metal masterpieces “The Ten Commandments” and “Retribution” and now they are touring behind last year’s “Invidious Dominion.” Live they are vicious, brutal and violent, so do not miss them or die!

Also playing: Full Blown Chaos – NYHC. The Absence – Death/thrash metal from Tampa, Havok – Pure thrash from the Rocky’s and Beyond Terror Beyond Grace – Australian grindcore.

ANTHRAX @ SUMMIT MUSIC HALL 10/18/10 DENVER-CO

Anthrax was formed in NY in the early 80’s, and in my opinion the best thrash metal band. Joey Belladonna is back on vocals, he was the singer from 85-92, along with Scott Ian (guitars) Charlie Benante (drums) Frank Bello (bass) and newer comer Rob caggiano (guitars). This line-up recorded classic albums like “Spreading The Disease,” “Among The Living,” “State Of Euphoria” and in my opinion the best thrash metal album of all time “Persistence Of Time.”

Also playing: Two of the best extreme metal bands from the Mile Hi City, Cephalic Carnage – Hydro-grind death dealers and thrashers Havok.

HAVOK @ THE MARQUIS THEATER 5/13/10 DENVER-CO

Havok is Colorado thrash metal at is finest. Led by David Sanchez on guitar and vocals, Shawn Chavez on lead guitar, Jesse De Los Santos on bass and Pete Webber on drums. They play a style of thrash similar to Slayer, Testament and Exodus. They will be kicking off their tour at the Marquis in support of their debut lp “Burn.” Colorado Thrash!!!

Also playing: Valiomierda – Latin punk infected metal from Denver. Great band that sings in english, spanish and portuguese. Iconocaust – Thrash/death metal from Colorado.
