Totimoshi are a metal/punk band with psychedelic/stoner rock and heavy blues-jam influence. Formed in California in the mid-90’s, the band has a hispanic imagery and flair, they are led by Tony Aguilar on vocals and guitar, Meg Castellanos on bass and Chris Fugitt on drums.

The Summer Slaughter tour will be in The Mile Hi City with it’s annual caravan of extreme metal bands, some of them really good and some that are not, here is the lineup:

Six Feet Under – death metal from Tampa led by the deep growl of Chris Barnes. “Haunted” and “Warpath” two of their best albums, extreme, sick and malevolent.

Dying Fetus – brutal and morose death metal from Maryland, “Purification Through Violence” is their first album, an extreme, ferocious assault of gutteral vocals, blasting drums and relentless riffs.

The Black Dahlia Murder – death metal from Michigan.

Darkest Hour – melodic death metal from Washington.

Fleshgod Apocalypse – Italian technical death metal.

The rest of the bands are “Deathcore” hope they have their name on the background so you can tell the difference, Whitechapel, Oceano, As Blood Runs Black and a joke of a band Powerglove which ain’t deathcore, but pure garbage.

TORCHE @ THE BLUEBIRD THEATER 7/31/11 DENVER-CO

Torche is stoner/sludge metal band from Miami that formed in 2004 by Steve Brooks. They have released “Meanderthal” and “Torche” two albums full of stoner, doom-like song structures, downtuned riffs and punk metal melodies, an overall heavy crushing sound.

Also playing: Big Business – stoner/sludge metal from Seattle, part of the Melvins, aggressive,melodic and progressive with superb drumming. Helms Alee – a three piece psychedelic/melodic rock band from Seattle with slow heavy grooves and male/female vocals.

Left Alone are a punk band from California that formed in the mid-90’s by Elvis Cortez, they have a ska and cowpunk influence in their sound and they sing in english and spanish.

RINGWORM @ BLAST-O-MAT 7/22/11 DENVER-CO

Ringworm are a hardcore thrash metal band from Cleveland that formed in the early 90’s. They released “Birth Is Pain” in 2001, pure destructive, ferocious hardcore metal, they’ve toured the world putting on brutal and punishing live shows, capable of evoking genuine rage.

Also playing: Two Mile Hi hardcore bands – Bankrobber and Final Blow, punk metal from Wyoming – 666 Pack and hardcore from New Mexico – Dead Hours.

IGOR AND RED ELVISES @ MOE’S ORIGINAL BBQ 7/21/11 ENGLEWOOD-CO

Igor and Red Elvises are a “Siberian Surf Rock” band, they mix good ol’ rock n’ roll, rockabilly, surf and a little russian folk. Formed in Venice, CA. in the mid-90’s, they have played all over the world and they are at their best live, they are fun and weird, a traveling road party. Nostrovia!
