THE METALLIANCE TOUR @ SUMMIT MUSIC HALL 3/29/11 DENVER-CO
The inaugural Metalliance Tour will be in Denver bringing West Coast doom, southern grime and more riffs from the East Coast that you can handle, and the bands are:
Saint Vitus – Legendary doom metal from L.A. formed in 1978. Led by Mr. Wino on vocals and original members Dave Chandler on guitar and Mark Adams on bass, Henry Vasquez on drums replacing original member Armando Acosta who passed away in 2010. They have recorded several doom masterpiece’s “Born Too Late” “Mournful Cries” “V” and they will be recording what will probably be another classic this summer.
Helmet – Alt-metal from NYC led by Page Hamilton who in the 90’s hit it big with their album “Meantime.”
Crowbar – Slow, heavy sludge metal from the swamps of Louisiana. Led by big man Kirk Windstein, they have influenced many sludge bands since forming in the late 80’s.
Kylesa – psychedelic sludge metal from Savannah, they released “Spiral Shadow” one of 2010’s best albums. Howl – sludge metal from Rhode Island, they released “Full Of Hell” last year a very good album. The Atlas Moth – psychedelic grime metal from Chicago and Red Fang – stoner metal from Portland.
