BLACK COBRA @ LARIMER LOUNGE 7/20/10 DENVER-CO

Black Cobra are a two piece sludge/punk band from San Francisco that formed in 2002. Led by Jason Landrian (guitars & vocals) and Rafael Martinez (drums) they fuse punk chords with the faster parts of sludge, if you where to compare them to anybody it would be High On Fire or The Melvins. Live as a two piece band they produce a large but tight wall of fuzz, very good and loud noise. Signed to Southern Lord Records last year they released “Chronomega,” a fast and heavy lp that will satisfy any fan of sludge.

Also playing: Howl – sludge/thrash influenced metal from Rhode Island, they just released the masterpiece “Full Of Hell.” Adai – bong rippin’ labyrinth metal from Denver and East Of The Wall – progressive instrumental metal from New Jersey.
